The nature of the. disease was suspected yesterday, and confirmed to-day. The man is not expected to live ; he had not been vaccinated;. The Mayor has wired to .the Colonial Secretary, for instructions and also to the Mayors of Auckland arad Gisborne to warn them of the Waihora.
