A very ancienfe Biblical M.S., written on 4G rolls of vellum, has lately been brought to light by Dr. Harkary, of the imperial Library of St. Petersburg. The parchments appear to have been very; much worn, and parts vi ill have to be subjected to some restoring process, The investigations thus far have proved the fragments to relate 10 Isaiah, Joel, Hosea, Obadiah, Zephaniah, Haggai; Zaohariah, Ruth, Lamentations, Esther, and Daniel. It is alleged that in America 1,50,3 murders are perpetrated in a year, aud that only 93 murderers are hanged on an average. Hence the inequation for Lynch, law.
