After the delivery of the speech a message was received from the Governor notifying that he had given leave for the session to Messrs Menaies and Holmes, and Major Richmond. A number of notices of motion were given and several papers presented.' On the motion of Mr Oliver, Messrs McLean, Scotland, Oliver, Waterhouse, and Capt. Baillie, were appointed a committee to prepare an Address-invßeply. The Council then adjourned till next day.
