The Hotels Repulsed.
Telegrams from Suakim state that the attacks by Arab rebels upon the outposts at Suakim have been renewed with great vigor, and that skirmishes occurred in which the Arabs were repulsed with heavy loss.

London, June 3
The committe appointed by the French Senate have but slightly modified the Kecidiviste Bill. In their report they approve of sending convicts to New Caledonia and Cayenne, and reject the proposals that the Marquesas Islands should be the place to which prisoners should be sent. The committee also recommend that sis years' good conduct should entail a remission of the remainder of his sentence which a convict may have to serve.
Tawhiao's mission to England has been placed in > the hands of Mr Chesson, Secretary of the Aborigines Protection Society. He has requested an interview with Lord Derby on the subject.
Sir F. Dillon Bell will again interview M. Fevre, the French Under-Secretary for the Colonies, on the recidiviste question.

A number of members of the Liberal party have warned Mr Gladstone that should he surrender the control of Egyptian affairs to the European Powers, they will decline to support his Government.
