Adelaide, May 27. The City Council have resolved to con» tribute annually £150 towards the maintenance of a Professor of Music, in connection with the Adelaide University, who will also undertake to act as city organist.
A company has been formed to construct a graving dock at Harkar's Creek, Port Adelaide, capable of receiving the largest vessels afloat.

Mr Garrick, the new A gent-General, met with an accident to his le.fr, in alighting from a cab, and it is unlikely he will be able to leave Brisbane for England, as intended, for sonse time to come.
Sydney, May 27. The Rev. Father Barsari, the well known Roman Catholic clergyman, died on Saturday.
The Victorian gunboats Victoria and Albert, and the torpedo boat Chiiders, arrived at Thursday Island on the 13th instant, all well. -
