Australian Cricketers Beaten. London May 16. The cricket match was resumed today at Oxford. . Tha Home team, with four wickets down for 106, continued the first innings, which closed for.a total of 209, or 61 runs ahead of the Australians, O'Brien, with 92, and Page, with 33, were amongst the top scorers. The Australians, in their second innings, put together 168; McDonnell, stumped 36, and Midwinter, caught for 45, were the.highest scorers. The Home team requiring 108 runs to win went in for their, second innings, and put together that number with the loss of 3 wickets,,thus winning by seven wickets .Kemp (not out) was the-highest scorer with. 63 runs. Great interest was taken in the contest.
