GISBORNE.
$ This day. Sir Julius Vogel to the Fore.
Sir Julius Vogel has expressed bis willingness to stand for the East Coast constituency, if a general desire be that he should. He says he has no intention of remaining permanently in New Zealand, but the position of the colony is such that he feels be might be able to do some service in Parliament during the next few months. Probably the principal of Mr Locke's supporters will induce him to wait till a general election, in favor of Sir Julius Vogel.
