This day

Judge Gillies opened the Court this morning. In his address to the Grand Jury, he said the calendar was not very large, nor did it contain any serious cases, the majority" of which came from outlying districts, and not from the old settled parts. He then reviewed the cases to come before the Jury. The Grand Jury have just retired.
