Beach, who was requested to row a sculling match against Hanlan, has declined to do so, but a match has been arranged between the Canadian oarsman and Laycock.
Monday. Arrived^ this afternoon: The Union steamship Wairarapa, from Auckland. Rain has fallen here to-day, and showers have been pretty general throughout the country disnricts. A destructive fire has occurred at Dubbo. The loss is estimated at £32,500.
