Ceown G.M.Co.—Two shifts are employed driving south on the reef, and the manager expects to meet with the run of gold daily.

Nevada.—ln this claim work is being contjnued on the Sir Walter Scott reef, in which gold is freely visible at every breaking down.

Sic Waltee Scott.—The shoot, tramway, &c, connecting this mine with the Hauraki Co.'s battery is rapidly approaching completion, after which crushing operations, will at once be started. In the low level the reef is looking remarkably well, and, judging from the stone that is now coming to hand, it would be no surprise to me to hear of specimens being got at any moment.

Ivanhoe.—The work that is now being carried on in this reflects great credit upon the management, and the shareholders are to be congratulated upon the judicious manner in which their money is being expended. 'Nuf sed.

Mr W. A. Hunt is now engaged in cutting a pack track from his mine to the Karangahake road with a view to for* warding to the Thames, for treatment at one of the batteries there, a trial parcel of five tons.
