DEEP LEVEL CfiOSS.
The footwall branch of the crossreef has not yet come to hand in the crosscut at the 640 ft. level, but it should be met with very shortly. A leader about 6in. thick came in on the left hand wall yesterday, and is carrying on with the drive. No gold has been seen in it, but the quartz is of a promising appearance. t CALEDONIAN LOW LEVEL. A reef about two feet thick was passed, through in the eastern crosscut at the 640 ft. level yesterday. It Game in on the southern side, and striking north-easterly, passed out in 'he northern wall. No gold was seen in the quartz. GOLD RETURNS. Albubnia.—Dabb and party have banked 16ozs gold. Retreat. —(Karangahake).—A trial of 5 tons has yielded the good return of 13ozs Bdwts melted gold-
