Phoenix,—The cross lode which was expected to be cut any time during the past week has now been reached. There has not been time yet to do any work upon it to prove its value, but some good stone was got in the drive,close to the junction two days ago. Diamond Gtitllt. —The reef which has been expected for some time is now in hand. .It is at present rather broken, and does not show any gold, but from the appearance of things in the adjoining claims there can be little doubt that it will improve as driven on. Alpha.beo Company.—N"o official announcement has yet been made of the return from the trial crushing of two tons from small reef in the P section of this Company's ground, but it is understood to. be about 11 ounces of gold, or something over 5 ounces per ton. —News.
