Messrs Ireland and Fraser, of Mauri* tius, report of the sugar market, under date sth March, as follows■:.— There is no change to report in prices. Accounts from the plantations as regards tho crops are favorable. The month's engagements for New Zealand ports are as follows : — For Lyttelton, 300 tons; Port Chalmers, ICO; and the clearances include 2CD tons for Lyttelton. Freight to Australia is 225, to New Zealand 40s; exchange, 6Q days; bank credit—New Zealand, 12J per cent. ; Australian, 14 per cent. Stock sugar in hand amounts'to 40,000 tons. The local breadstuff's market is quiet, with but little doing. The demend for flour is limited to actual wants. Adelaide wheat is quoted at 3s lid to 4s. Town flour, £9 10s ; country brands, £8 10s to £3 Ids.
