Work at Nos. 1 and 2 levels, on the' Eed Queen leader and branches, is being pushed on as usual,. and the dirt going through the battery is shaping for a payable return. Gold in colors and dabs is seen in the reef in the drive and leading stope at No. 2 level. The manager will very shortly made prepurationifclbr extending No. 8 level in to the^f^f, the excellent prospects met with at; No. 2 warranting the belief that a payable block exists underfoot. The distance to drive will be about 423 ft., and on the underlie of the reef there should be 140 ft. of backs. A winze will be sunk to connect * with the crosscut.
