The Sydney Evening News of the 19th February has the following advertisement :—- ---MATRIMONIAL.— A Gentleman, in New Zealand north, in a responsib'e and rising position, is desirous of corresponding with a Lady wlth means, with a view to matrimony. The advertiser is a widower (has one son 12 years old), about 40 years of age, tall, good appearance, hazel eyes, and fair complexion. He desires a corresponding 1 amiable, ladylike, domestic, a Protestant, and not over 35 years of age. Address, in first instance, with fullest particulars and photo., to XYB, Post-office, lhames, Auckland, New Ze.land, when immediate reply will be sent with photo"., and inviolable secrecy observed. References, required. I hope XYB has met with a response to his taste, accompanied by the photo and the necessary references.
