This was a close race.—ln the Summer Stakes Handicap there was an exciting finish ; Maria Stewart won by a bare nose with hard Hogging all the way up the straight; Shepherdess, 2; Sincerity, 3; Talent, 4.—Forced Handicap : Sir Tatton, 1; Pippin, 2; Satellite, 3. Close race between the first two.
