This day. The s.s, Tiii, on the way from Wangan.ui, touched on a rock inside JCapiti and started some of her planks. She arrived safe, bat some of the cargo is injured by water. The Tui sighted the ship Lady Jocelyn for Wellington from London in the Straits, which signalled all well. Latee. Finding that she was making water, there being a foot in the hold; a sail was put under her bottom, and the vessel taken back under the island, and a search made for the injury. Sixteen bales of wool, all wet.' were taken on deck and the hold pumped •out, wjben the damage was got at, and found to consist of:a started butt and several rivets knocked out about one plate beneath the water line. The leak was
toinomed off with blankets and tallow, and the Tui came on here safely.
