This day. The house of Mr Knight, fruiterer, of Newton East, was broken into, and a cash>box containing £41 was stolen, also a watch, chain, and other goods, making a total value of £91. N The burglar effected an entrance by the back window, and took the cash box from the room where Mr Knight was sleeping without awakening him. David Hay, of the Montpellier nursery, an old Auckland settler, is dead. Alex. Duncan, in the Government employ at Sulphur Point Lake, Sotorua, has been found drowned in Lake Eotoiti.
