No one " toed the mark " between prosecutor and prosecuted in the Court to-day; the great unpaid had a respite from judiciary duly—in fact the Police Court was not opened.
Two old Auckland identities are dead— both local celebrities ia their way,— Richard &rigg> the Police Court poet, who has attended the Police Court proceedings for 30 years and Archibald Wilson, known as " Miser Wilson " who is said to have left a fortune behind him. Both men were fourscore, and have been in the province since 1840.
Rabbits quite close.to Dunedin have now been found affected by tuberculosis which thus appears to be spreading through the province.
EjttiNFEli Silva, a resident at the Great Barrier, ia supposed to be drowned. His boat being foupd oapsized.
