TAKAPUNA MEETING.
Auckland, Saturday. The Takapuna races were held to-day. The attendance was good and the races welUcontested. The following were the results of the principal events :— £pbing Handicap, 4030vs 6 furlongs. —Mitrailleuse 1, Snider 2, Paramena 3. Handicap Httbdlls, 40eovs, 8 flights of hurdles, 2 miles and a distance.— Chandler 1, Harkaway 2. St. Andbew's Handicap, 75sovs, H miles.—Yuba Bill 1, Woodpecker 2, Grolden Crown 3. Handicap Steeplechase, 505iovs, 3 miles.—Chandler 1, Christmas 2, Fly 3. Stewabdi' Plate, 20sovs, 1 mile. — Yuba Bill 1, Mitrailleuse 2, Snider 3. Wellington, Saturday. The sum passed through tho totalisator at the Hutt races yesterday was £1760.
