AUCKLAND.
This day. The Helensville '.Timber Coy. has declared a dividend of 10 per cent.
The Hinemba entered Kawhia harbor yesterday morning at daybreak, and landed a quantity of. timber for erecting a building for the detachment of the Armrd Constabulary posted there, and also a quantity of stores for their use. Captain Anderson, the storekeeper, has been there for the past fortnight, airaDgiog for commissariat supplies for the post. After landing Colonial Eeader, Chief Commissioner, who desired to inspect the Constabulary, the Hinemoa sailed at half-past nine a.m. for Onehunga, arriving last evening. She was to sail again almost immediately for Kawhia, in order to take on board Colonel Bender, and thence pro* ceed to Wellington.
Mr J. Evans Brown, M.H.8., came from New Plymouth yesterday in the Hinemoa. ■
A deputation from the Chamber of Commerce will wait on Major Atkinson to-morrow, re the route of the railway from Te Awamutu.
