A final cleaning up for this company took place to-day, producing 350z3 gold, which.. added to the 90ozs 19dwts obtained a short time ago, makes a total of 1250zs 19dwls gold as the product of the past two months' operations. The bulk of the quartz crushed was from the stopes hill ward of the slide above No. 10 level, the remainder being composed of trial parcels from several section of the mine. * Work is still confined to the contractors' . drives at Nos. 8 and 10 levels, but if the new company is successfully floated, prospecting works on a more extensive scale will be commenced. KURANUI HILL. Finding that the drive from the Belfast ; tunnel was ten feet in the footwall of the i drive seaward in Kelly's section, ■ though, both were supposed to be on the same reef, the manager has started to crosscut in order to connect. '■ He hag so far seen no gold in the Belfast drive, but a better class of country is coming in as the face advances eastward/ As soon as the drives are connected, the manager will in all probability crosscut to Kelly's shaft, from which he will be able to get into the old workings and see what has been. done. Gold is seen freely in stoping .the All* Nations leader from the intermediate drive below tunnel level. Thl battery will start crushing towards the end of the present month.
