OUR MINES.
WAIOTAHI.
Cleaning up and retoriiug took place this morning for the yield of. 1990z5. gold, which was reduced on melting to 1960z5. 6dwta. The quantity of quartz treated was 160 tons. The yield is for barely a jnonth'a work, and-is smaller than usual, though the dirt crushed has been of remunerative grade.
MOANATAIRI
The manager has started to drive westward on the No. 9 reef at the 132 ft. lerel, but a clay head crossing the face has heaved the reef, and he has not yet picked it up on the other side. Another goldbearing leader, from 2 to 3 inches wide, has been cut in the Crown crosscut.
QUEEN OF BEAUTY.
Work in this mine is now confined to the contrators' drives at Nos. & and 10 levels, the remainder of the hands having been discharged last week. At^No. 8 the crosscut towards the Bird-invEand and Vanguard reefs has been adranced 34ft through i a favorable class of country since the contractors started. At No. 10 level the contract for extending the north drive . 50ft is now. nearly completed, but the TeeUk has not shown any improvement. '
BEYMOU&
Though all prospecting work in this mine has been discontinued for the present, baling is still being carried on, and the shaft kept dry 1. We understand that the directors intend resuming operations, shortly, as soon as matters financial are in a more satisfactory condition, •■
QUEEN' OF ENGLAND,
Mr H. Moore has been appointed to the management of this mine, and the directors intend to resume operations shortly. The first work will probably be a crosscut south at No. 4 level of the Winding Association shaft, to intersect the No. 1 reef there. The distance te drive is not very great, and the country is as yet altogether untried.

Magnolia.—Moase , and party have crushed 2 loads for the yield of 4ozs 16dwtsgold. \ , ,
