DUNEDIN.
This day. A six roomed house in Albany street, occupied by James Grant, was burned down at midnight. The furniture was insured in the Norwich Union for £100.
At the L\nd Eoard to«day, Messrs, -Pearsell and the Youngs', applicants for the Strath Taieri section, writing from Tasmania, protest against the finding of the dummyism committee, maintaining that the land they purchased was for their own use and benefit. They ask the Board to issue the licenses to them, and state their willingness to pay rent.
