The other drive should in a day or two hole into Kelly's shaft, and shortly afterwards the junction •f the Duke reef should be met .with. The reef here varies from 4 inches to 2 feet, and colors of gold have been seen for the past 60 feet. A leading stope is in progress over this drive, and here also colors of the precious metal are seen. Stoping is proceeding on the All Nations leader from the intermediate level opened out from the winze below tunnel level, and gold is seen pretty freely. LONDON. Seven tenders were opened to-day for driving east 100 ft on No. 2 reef at No. 4 level, and the lowest, that of Barker and party, at 15s per foot, was accepted. Work is to be started on Monday morning. The winze from No. 3 level has been cleaned out, and there is now excellent ventilation at No. 4. The winze on No. 1 reef has been at a standstill for a few days, but work in it will, be resumed on Monday, and the winze on No. 2 reef will also be continued shortly. DAET. The footwall of the No. 2 reef was reached by the crosscut at No. 3 level yesterday afternoon, and it was found to be 10 feet in thickness.
