AUCKLAND. This day Man Lost. Mr McGregor of Northern Wairoa, aged 87, went out to look for cattle on August 12th, and has not been heard of since. Important Experimentsjudge Gillies,' who has been experimenting in sorghum culture, says in a paper read at the Auckland Institute, that these results astounded him, and proved that sorghum as a sugar producer was valuable beyond his wildest imaginations. Ait Treasures for AucklandMr Mackelvie writes that he is sending out a number of valuable pictures for the Auckland Art Gallery; one of these is by Armitage, S.A., and Mr Mackelvie has been offered £300 for it.
