HAWERA.
Yesterday. Accident to a Survey Party. A narrow escape from a fatal accident to a survey party occurred yesterday. Alfred Atkinson (son of the member for Egmont) was in charge of a party in the bush when a dead limb fell from a tree, knocking off Atkinson's hat, stunning and bruising a man' named Downey, and breaking the thigh of a man named Thos. Harrison, They did not reach here till -past midnight.
