At the ' October sittings, Margaret Larerty seeks a judical separation from Ch'as. Laverty. It is alleged that on the night of marriage in August 1881, the husband threatened to desert her, and grossly abused her. He offered her £100 if she would desert him, and three days afterwards he threatened to shoot her, and presented a loaded gun at her, which his brother discharged fearing that blood would be spilt. Owing to further threats she fled from his house and has since been living apart. /
