NEW PLYMOUTH.
This day. Shortly after midnight a fire broke out in an empty house on Poverty Flat. It belonged to a Mr Weir, who had recently purchased it from Cudlip, and was undergoing repairs. Mr Weir is a new settler, recently come from Canterbury.
