1 This day. The divorce case of Stewart v. Stewart and Dickson, manager of the West Coast Coal Company, in which £1000 damages are claimed,was continued today. Mr Smith, for prosecutor, addressed the Court at some length. Adultery had been admitted; the only question was for the jury to agree as to damages. The plaintiff's counsel expressed a hope that exemplary damages would bs given, and if the Judge made no order on the subject, the petitioner would hand the amount to a benevolent institution, as, personally, he refused to receive one farthing.
