A fire was discovered early this morning in Nelson's meat preserving works at Tomoana. A strong gale was blowing, which kept.the flames from the main buildings, and with the aid of a large staff of hands and plenty of water, the destruction was confined to the enginehouse. The; estimated damage is £250. The establishment is insured for £7400 in fourteen different offices. ' I ' Part of the Aptey es taifce, owned by J. Giblin, consisting of 5510 acres of land, and 8000 sheep, has been bought by W. Felson for £28,400. 4
