Telegrams are to hand from EkalerinoBlar, a town in son them Russia, reporting a serious anti-Jewish tumult there ; the military were called out to quell the disturbances. Ten rioters were killed, and thirteen seriously wounded. • London, August 5.r It is reported here that the Victorian Government some time back informed the Imperial authorities that the Irish informers would not be allowed to land in Victoria, but that nevertheless Hanldn, Kavanagh, and Smith were secretly shipped oh board the Pathan by London police. ; ' London, August 3.
Owing to the quarantine difficulties the British Government has suspended the conveyance of mails by Egyptian railways, and has sanctioned their transport by the Suez Canal. Passengers from Venice and Brindisi going east will join London trunk service at Port Said; passengers from Continent can leave Venice and Brindisi fortnightly, by direct steamer to Bombay, via Canal, but not touching any Egyptian port. Strict quarantine is being .maintained for homeward steamers at all Italian and French Ports. The P. and O. Company have decided to accelerate the speed of homeward bound packets to Plymouth, passengers thereon avoiding all quarantine. Cairo, August 3.. Cases of cholera now appearing are of a milder character than at first, and hope is entertained of the abatement of the epidemic. The health of the British troops is now much better. * Hongkong, August 3. Intelligence is to hand that Ludere, Regent of Anam, is dead, and that he has been succeeded by Phudao. v Vienna, August 3. The trial of the Hungarian Jews who were arrested on a charge of having killed a Christiau girl in order to use her blood for the Passover sacrifice, was concluded to-day, all the prisoners being fully acquitted by the Court. ■■■... Pabis, August 3. A Legitimist plot has been discovered in this city, and a number of revolution--ary documents has been seized by the police, at the, meeting place of the conspirators. "*• Pahis, August 4.r Several of the leaders of the Legitimist party are concerned in the plot discovered;by the police, and are compro mised by the papers seized relating to the designs of the conspirators.

occurred at Ischia. The effects of the ' shock were most severely felt at Forio, a seaport on the west coast of the island, where several houses were destroyed. "; Vienna, August 4. A serious anti- Jewish agitation has oc» curred at Pressburgin consequence of the release of the Jews who were charged with the murder of the Christian girl in order to use her blood in their Passover ceremonies. A large mob collected and commenced to pillage the Jewish quarter of the town, and the authorities were compelled to call out the military to disperse the rioters.! '

London, August 3. • j The Irish officials assert that no notorious informers have proceeded to Australia. The mails due on August 13 will pro* ceed via Alexandria and Venice. The appeal made by the Marquis De Rays, who was arrested in Paris on a charge of fraud and deception in connection with New Ireland, has been rejected by the French Courts, and the trial will proceed in due course. The French Senate have passed the Transportation to.the Pacific. Bill in a somewhat modified form, and the Cham bers have now been prorogued. O'Donnell, it is said, is an American citizen. k ' The Comte de Chambord is recovering in health. The Standard states that De Lesseps is willing to offer better terms fop' the construction of the second Suez canal. The English Parliament has prorogued until August 25 ' . i
