NAPIER.
Yesterday. At the meeting of the Hawkes' Bay Genuity- Council yesterday, Mr Sutton, M.H.R., was presented with a solid silver centre-piece in token of his services as Chairman for many years. Owing to Mr Button's absence in Wellington a complimentary letter was forwarded to him stating that the presentation had been sent to his residence, and regretting that it could not have been made in person.
