Mr Service the Premier, has received a telegram from the Associated Chamber of Commerce in Great, Britain, to the effect that in their opinion the agreement re* oently concluded between the Imperial Government, and Count de Lesseps, for the construction of a second Buez canal, will hamper Australian trade for the next fifty years;
Mr Service as Colonial Treasurer will probably make his financial statement on Wednesday next. Mbibouene, Saturday. Blanche Stimners, the actress, died this morning after an illness of only a few hours. She took part in the performance at the Theatre Royal last night as usual.
