The s.s. Austral. A telegram has been received anaouneing the arrival of the steamship Austral at Bio de 'Janeiro on the 12th mat. She put in to replenish her supply of coals. Unfavorable wrather was experienced on the passage. [Received July 14, 1.30 p.m ] Melbourne, This day. The Argus has despatched Julian Thomas (The Vagabond) to report on th 9 New Hebrides. A quarantine station has been estab* Used here for vessels from Fiji, in consequence of a report that small-pox, cholera, and measles are prevalent there.
Stonby; Yesterday. A proclamation has been issued to-day declaring the various ports of China and Fiji infected places,/and that all vessels coming therefrom are to be placed in quarantine. :. ;
