Thames Goldfields Hospital.

The usual meeting was held yesterday at the County Council Offices. Present:— Revg. S. J. Neil, (President), W. Calder, P.O'Rielly, H Bull, and C. E. It consisted of one freehold allotment and a house, and two leasehold sections, 7 years to run ; and Mr Fleming fixed bis price at £600.—The Colonial Secretary had been informed that the'dost of replacing flax mattresses with hair would be about £3 8s each.—They reported the tenders accepted for supplies, as previously published.—The dispenser was authorised to sell the! last of the pigsj at the Refuge for, £4—Wages and accounts to the amount of £182 3s 7d were recommended for payment, and the Dispenser's rooms recommended to be furnished.—Mr Brodie wished to explain that the subcommittee, in considering the tenders for supplies had found that nearly all of them had been received too late, and Mr Bateman's was in the same position as Mrs Dalziel's, in view of the consideration of the committee in the affair he thought their action should be oudorsed. After an amendment of no import was carried, the re port warfadopted.
