C. Brown), Auctioneers (Dick), Land Act Amendment (Rolleston), aid New:; River Harbour Endowment (Feldwick). -. On Major Atkinson's motion, a delect j Committee,, consisting of Sir Geo. Grey, Messrs Montgomery, Macaifdrevr, Pencock, Wynn Williams,, Larnach, and the mover, was appointed to consider the question of Pacific annexation. The Bankruptcy Bill was read a second time without further debate —The Impounding Bill Minine Companies Amendment Bill, Affirmations and Declaration Bills were read a second time.—The JNew Zealand University Act Amendment Bill was passed through-Committee without amendment. —The remainder of the sit,r. t.injEj was spent in Committee on Tenants' Fixtures Bill. ,r j The House resumed at 7.30., when the building was lighted for the first time by tbe electric light. ; Progress was reported on the Tenants Fixtures Bill.
