Tbe Argus has published a forecast of ministerial measures for the approaching session ; these are stated to include a bill for the appointment of three commission - ers for the management of railways, and a bill to abolish official patronage in the public departments. It also states that party questions will be avoided by the Government.
The Hon. J. Service, Premier, has received a telegram from the Government of New Zealand intimating the latter's intention to test in Parliament the question of sharing with other colonies the expenses of the annexation of New Hebrides, and other groups in the Pacific.

It is understood 1 Sir Henry Parkes leaves Sydney by the P.M.S. Australia, on July 12th, for America, where he will remain some time before proceeding to England, and that he will be absent from the colony about 18 months. It is understood that Sir, Henry's visit? to England is on account of private affairs.
