:. This day/ The University Council has passed a resolution requesting the Government to appoint a professor of anatomy, and suggesting that District Judge Smith be appointed law lecturer. J It is stated that the Choral Society will contribute towards the establishment of a professorship of music. . A committee has been appointed to meet the Choral Saciety. The Governor's ball cost £350. The Rev. E. N. Bree, incumbent of the Ponsonby Anglican Church, died last night, aged 76.
