Yesterday.

A steerage passenger on board the Wanaka named Jas. Reid, from Dunedin, was found dead in his bunk this morning. The body was brought to Lyttelton, where an inquest is to be held. At the quarterly meeting of the Chamber of Commerce it was resolved, " That iv the opinion of this Chamber it is de~ sirable that this colony should be fully represented at the proposed Colonial Exhibition in London, and that the Government be communicated with to that effect."
