Yesterday.
Eight sailors refused to go to sea hi the barque Prior Holme, on the ground that she was short-handed. The ship's articles required 12 men, and there were 19 all told on board. Each of the accused had cashed advance notes for £6. The three, ringleaders were sent to gaol for four months, the others were ordered aboard.
