Yesterday. The agents of the Buccleuch have re» ceived a cablegram that the general average ia being adjusted at Home, and therefore no deposits will be required here. This day. At a special meeting of the Otago Trades and Labor Council last evening an invitation of the Council to the city and suburbs members to be present was largely responded to. Members addressed the meeting on various subjects of interest to the industrial classes, and were recorded an unanimous vote of thanks. A monster meeting is to be held shortly in Dunedin, when the city and suburban members are invited to speak.
