The defective joint in the pipe was repaired last night, and a start was made to crush this morning. With the same nozzle as was used on Saturday, a speed of 58 blows per minute was attained, which is about equal to what the stamps were driven at when steim was used. The machinery works very steadily. The nozzle will be enlarged to morrow morning, and an increase of speed will then be obtained. MARINES AND LONDON. The guides were put in the southern shaft yesterday, and to day both tanks were used. The water has been reduced to the top of the chamber, but a large amount of slush has accumulated. Men are at work stirring this up in the southern compartment, and it is slowly being . reduced. In the London the tributers' drive on No. 1 reef is being repaired. GOLD KETUfiNS. Caledonian.—Cater and party's crushing of 7 loads gave Bozs. ldwt. Adelaide. — The proprietors have ' cleaned up for the return of 560z9. of gold. Dart.—Papa and party have crvshed 8 loads of quartz at the Queen of Beauty battery for the return of 13ozs 9dwta 1 melted gold.
