In the French Chamber of Deputies yesterday, in reply to the Due He Broglie, Lacour, Minister for Foreign Affairs, had entered into a triple alliance hostile to France; he added, however, that the French Government attached no importance to the alliance, as it considered.that it would not injuriously affect the interests of France.

The Indemnity Commission which was appointed to consider claims preferred by residents in Alexandria, to account for the damage done to their property by the bombardment of the town by the British, has sent in its reports. The Commission recommend that a sum of £645,000 be voted for the purpose of meeting claims. The recent disturbances which have arisen between the Greeks and the Arabs at Port Said, have been effectually suppressed, and the British marines have, withdrawn. Tirard, the Minister of Finance in the French Cabinet, will be appointed to the office of ConsulGeneral at Algiers, and that his Cabinet will be filled by the appointment of M. Leon Say.
