CAMBRIDGE RACES.
There was a larger attendance yesterday than on the first day, and the events resulted as follows:—■
Handicap Hurdles, 20sovs, 2 miles— Bakau, 1; Christmas, 2; Milo, 3. Publicans' Pubse Hanpicap, 50sovs., 1| miles—Larry, 1 ; Maori, 2; Hippodamia, 3. This was a splendid contest. Merlin and Robert the Devil also ran.
Waikato Steeplechase, 40sovs., 2 miles—Jed water, 1; Harkaway, 2. This was but a poor race, the horses baulking. Waikato Plate Handicap, 20sovs , #-mile—Victoria, 1; Rewi, 2. Consolation Handicap, losovs.— Maori, 1; Merlin, 2; Mystery, 3. Au excellent race.
