OUR MINES.
. QUEEN OF BEAUTY. The contractors at No. 10 level are pushing on with the drive eastward on the main reef, which is now bigger than where ! first out. It is a. fine solid body of itone, well mineralised, and looks well for gold, though none has yet been seen in it. This, however, is not to be wondered at when it is remembered that at the lerel above the drive, was in 60ft. before gold was seen. A crushing is now going through the battery, und is shaping fairly. The reef in the winze at No. 9 level also looks as well as j could be desired, though no specimens have yet come to hand from it. BKIGHT SMILE. /The manager this afternoon banked SOlba of specimens,, obtained, from the stopes above the intermediate level, and the reef continues to look well. A little I gold was also aeen to-day in breaking down the reef at the 90ft. level, in the j drive going towards, the old Candlelight' ground..- - ,;■- -: "-- ''■"■ ■-* ■ •■.'■■•'■•- >>:"/.o
