WANGANUI.
Yesterday, Mr Watt, M.H.R., addressed his con« stituents tonight at the Princess' Theatre, which was crowded, the Mayor presiding. A vote of thanks only was carried by the meeting which was very noisy throughout. The 14th annual prize meeting of the Wanganui Rifle Association concluded today. Lieut. Puroell, of the City Kifles, had the highest aggregate in the matches, and won the Association's Cup, which now becomes his own property. Major Noakes's Cup, for rapidity in firing, was won this year by Bergt McLean, of the Wairoa Light Horse, but he must *vin_it two years in succession' to become its 'owner.
