Tima.hu, Yesterday. At the first day's races there was a good attendance and fine weather. Sibes' Pboduce Stakes, 60 soys, for two-year-old a—Curries' Sweet William (Derritt), L; M. Orbell's Drift (Rudings), 2; C. McGlashan's Spoffbrth (Dunn), 3. Nenoon's Norman also ran. Time, lmin. 278ecs. TiMAEU Cup.—O'Brien's Tasman, 9st (Allan) 1; Cutfcs' Souwester, 6st (Brown), 2; McLean's Lady Emma, 9st (Allen), 3. Butler's Luna also ran. Souwester led from the start till entering the straight, when Tasman went up. and won an excellent race by a length; Emma a good third. Time, 3mins 15secs.
