NAPIER.

Mr Ramsay Syme, manager of the Loan and Mercantile Agency, broke a bloodvessel and dropped apparently dead in the street on Saturday afternoon. He was carried into Blythe's drapery shop, and Dr Spencer was sent for; but Mr Syme was found to be quite dead. The body was conveyed to his residence. Deceased was a universal favourite, and his sudden end cast a gloom over the town.
