WELLINGTON
Yesterday. Dr. You Lechenfield. an Austrian, and his wife started three weeks ago to survey the Tasmau glacier and observe its rate of motion ; also to ascertain, if possible, the altitude of Mount Darwin. He takes several men from Albury to teach Alpine climbing. The doctor has been studying more than a year the in vertebrae found in Aus ralia, and intends remain* ing some time for the sanao purpose in New Zealand. His present address is Cauterbury Museum. -
